The Academy Day
The academy day is as follows
Monday to Thursday
8.40 AM until 3.40 PM
The day comprises 4 lessons of 85 minutes each and one 20 minute reading session or briefing
Every student has a 20 minute morning break and a 40 minute lunch break.
Each Friday
8.40 AM until 1.30 PM
The day comprises 3 lessons of 85 minutes each and one 20 minute reading session or briefing
Every student has a 20 minute morning break. Lunch is provided at 1.30 but students may leave at any time after 1.30.
Opening and closing
The academy gates open for students at 7.45 and the canteen is available shortly after. The gates usually close around 4.45 Monday to Thursday and at around 2.45 on Friday but students in clubs and interventions who are supervised may stay after this time.
The academy is sometimes open at weekends and holidays for staff and for students only when students are supervisied and have been invited in for an intervention, club, trip or event.
